Students & Schools Foundation is transforming government schools across Andhra Pradesh and Telangana — reaching 25,000+ students in 400+ schools with skills training, AI workshops, and next-generation education systems.
Founded 2019 · 412 Schools · 18 Districts · AP & Telangana
The quality of a child's education should not depend on which school they could afford.
Students & Schools Foundation was born from one man's refusal to look away. Retired Inspector General of Police Mr. Shaik Mohammed Iqbal visited a government school in 2019 and found 180 children without clean water, working toilets, or electricity. He built SSF to fix that. 412 schools later, that work continues every single day.
Renovated classrooms, clean water, sanitation — the basics every child deserves.
Smart boards, computers, broadband — world-class tools in rural village schools.
Medical camps, hygiene kits, nutrition support. A sick child cannot learn.
Libraries and science labs — closing the gap between government and private schools.
India’s Government Schools Are in Crisis
Over 120 million children in India attend government schools — many without basic supplies, trained teachers, or access to technology. In Andhra Pradesh alone, dropout rates remain critically high, and most students have never seen a computer.
SSF exists to change this — one school, one district, one state at a time.

About us
How SSF Began
Students & Schools Foundation was born from a lifetime of public service. After serving as Inspector General of Police and as a Member of the Legislative Council in Andhra Pradesh, Shaik Mohammed Iqbal saw firsthand the crisis facing government schools — crumbling infrastructure, untrained teachers, students dropping out before they could read.
In 2025, he founded SSF with a single conviction: that government school students deserve the same quality of education as anyone else. Today, SSF operates across 400+ schools in 23+ districts, reaching over 25,000 students with skills training, AI literacy, and systemic school transformation.
The foundation is now managed by Shaik Hyder Ali as Managing Trustee, bringing modern operational expertise and technology-first thinking to the mission his father started.
“Education is not charity — it is the most strategic investment a society can make. Every child in a government school carries the same potential as any child anywhere. They just need someone to believe in them.”
— Shaik Mohammed Iqbal, Founder, SSF | Ex Inspector General of Police | Ex MLC
