Governance & Leadership
Students & Schools Foundation (SSF) is governed by a Board of Trustees committed to transparency, accountability, and systemic impact. The Foundation is registered under the Andhra Pradesh Public Trusts Act (Trust Deed No. 124/2025) and recognised by NITI Aayog.
Our Founder
Shaik Mohammed Iqbal — Founder & Chairman, Ex-Inspector General of Police (IPS), Ex-Member of Legislative Council (MLC), Andhra Pradesh
Shaik Mohammed Iqbal served the Indian state for over 35 years as a distinguished IPS officer, rising to the rank of Inspector General of Police. His career spanned senior postings across Andhra Pradesh, overseeing law enforcement, public order, and community welfare at the highest levels of government. Following his retirement from public service, he served as a Member of the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Council, further deepening his commitment to policy and governance.
SSF was born out of his conviction that the children studying in government schools — the majority of India's school-going population — deserve access to the same quality of education, skills, and opportunities as those in elite private institutions. His three decades of observing structural inequality across rural and urban Andhra Pradesh informed SSF's systems-change mandate from day one.
Managing Trustee
Shaik Hyder Ali — Managing Trustee & Secretary
Hyder leads day-to-day operations, programme delivery, government partnerships, and donor relations for SSF. Working directly under the founder's vision, he oversees SSF's expansion across Andhra Pradesh and coordinates the foundation's work across 23+ districts and 400+ government schools.
Governance Structure
SSF operates under a Board of Trustees that provides strategic oversight and fiduciary responsibility. The organisation maintains full transparency in its financial management — 95% of all public donations reach students directly, with zero administrative overhead on public contributions.
SSF issues 80G receipts within 24 hours of any donation and is fully compliant with Indian trust law, NITI Aayog registration requirements, and CSR Schedule VII guidelines under the Companies Act.
