Our Story

Students & Schools Foundation (SSF) was established out of a deep conviction that every child in a government school deserves the same quality of education as any child in an elite private institution.

SSF was founded by Shaik Mohammed Iqbal — a retired Inspector General of Police (IPS) and Ex-MLC — following 35 years of distinguished public service across Andhra Pradesh. After witnessing firsthand how poor educational infrastructure compounds social inequality, he dedicated his post-retirement years to building lasting, systemic change in government school education.

Registered under the Andhra Pradesh Public Trusts Act (Trust Deed No. 124/2025) and recognised by NITI Aayog, SSF has rapidly grown into a state-wide movement — reaching 25,000+ students across 400+ government schools in 23+ districts of Andhra Pradesh and expanding to Telangana.

What Makes SSF Different

Unlike organisations that deliver one-off workshops, SSF operates with a systems-change mandate. Our three flagship programmes — the Student Skills Development Programme, AI Workshops, and the Next Generation Education System — build lasting capacity in classrooms, in teachers, and in communities.

We maintain zero administrative overhead on public donations — 95% of every rupee goes directly to students. We issue 80G receipts within 24 hours and are fully CSR-eligible under Schedule VII of the Companies Act.
